Professional Career
I work in the group finance team at a London-based fin-tech start-up. Prior to this I worked at a FTSE250 creative business and had initially been trained as qualified auditor at one of the 'Big Four' global accountancy firms.
I gain the most joy from helping business grow through creative business model and process designs, backed by thorough financial and risk analysis. I am also a passionate reader of the cross-border commerce between China and the West, especially the UK.
Academically (for business specifically), I completed a MSc degree in entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and before that, BSc (Hons) Investment & Financial Risk Management at Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass Business School).
As a Visual Thinker and an Artist
Visualising business and strategic philosophies through art making is a unique approach that I created, which not only enriched my art practices, but also led to a distinctive career and life path that I seek.
Creating a visual world that is both distinctive and fun, while keeping its connection to the abstract yet realistic business world, is something drives me to be creative after work. My art practices range from painting, collages and prints.
Despite of the traditional and mundane views on these subjects, finance and business studies have inspired my art creation significantly. Inspired by art historian schools of Suprematism, Construcivism and Pop Art, I am a firm believer in celebrating the human's creation of knowledge and organisational processes in visual arts.
Academically, I am completing a part-time MA degree at the Royal Academy of Arts (RA), London.
My art work, Snow Storm: Spin-off of a Country, was shown at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2017.
My Life
I was born in Anshan, an industrial city in northest China. I came to the UK for my A-levels studies with minimal English language ability.
I had dreamt of coming to London for my degree and worked hard towards it. Now I have lived here for more than a decade since 2009.
Following my son's birth in summer 2019, our young family experienced a transformational change, in the best possible way. Based in London, United Kingdom, we aspire to work and live in different amazing places in the world.
